About The Role

Our Network Information Security (NIS) team is looking for an experienced senior information security leader, responsible for driving the firm’s information security strategy.

The role balances local security needs with the global security strategy and works with both local and global leaders to achieve this. This is a pivotal leadership role and is responsible for the safety and security of our firm’s data.

You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:

  • Extensive experience in information security leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience as being a trusted advisor on cybersecurity
  • A strong practical understanding of all areas of information security
  • Experience working, leading & influencing in a global matrix organisation
  • Adept at leading in the face of uncertainty and facilitates understanding of complex circumstances to gain support and agreement
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, analytical and communication skills
  • Relationship building, negotiation and influencing capability at an executive level
  • Demonstrated ability to identify strategic issues and develop and implement appropriate solutions


In this role, your impact will be seen by:

  • Being responsible for the strategic direction & leadership of the information security programme, encompassing both Australia and Global requirements
  • Advising the Governing Board and senior management on security risks, matters and strategy, particularly as they relate to the firm’s market reporting obligations
  • Governing the firm’s cyber risk posture within the firm’s Risk Management Framework, working with the AU CIO & Management Leadership Team
  • Aligning the PwC Australia information security strategy to the Global PwC Network Information Security strategy, working with the Global CISO
  • Driving implementation and adoption of global security services, including oversight and service management
  • Driving the delivery of local security frameworks, capabilities or services not provided by the global security shared services, as relevant to Australian regulatory requirements (e.g CPS 234)
  • Engaging actively with the partnership to uplift their cyber maturity and provide thought leadership to support their client work
  • Leading information security incident response and cyber crisis management
