The Opportunity

As a complex global organisation, Ashurst Service Central is key in how we run our operations, plan for the future and determine our strategy. This is a global function of 170 professionals, all working closely together, but with a range of specialist expertise, including: reporting, financial systems, costs, partnership tax, account payable, accounts receivable, billing, central registry, credit control, e-billing and client rates, financial systems support, procurement, revenue management, and working capital management.

We have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Ashurst Service Central, Brisbane team on a fulltime, permanent basis.

In this role, you will support and mentor a small team of 2 Accounts Payable Officers, whilst also undertaking general Accounts Payable duties. The Accounts Payable Team Leader will report into the Finance Operations Manager.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • 3+ years Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience leading and managing Accounts Payable team(s) is preferable however not required.
  • Demonstrated experience responding to high volumes of Accounts Payable queries, ensuring quality output.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and assist other team members to achieve collective goals.
  • Good level of MS Office including Excel.
