Workshop-Based Mechanical Fitter – Permanent Opportunity

Our well-established, workshop-based client in South Perth is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their close-knit team. This is a hands-on role focused on precision assembly and the servicing of specialised mechanical lifting systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct scheduled maintenance, fault-finding, and repair tasks on various heavy lifting systems including crane setups, locomotive elevation gear, jibs and bespoke lifters
• Assemble mechanical units from scratch using in-house fabrication blueprints
• Test and validate equipment functionality prior to client handover
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified tradesperson (Mechanical Fitter certification essential)
• Valid WA Driver’s Licence
• Completion of CPR/LVR within the last year
• Certified to operate at heights, and hold EWP and Confined Space permits
• At least 5 years’ hands-on industry experience
• Able to pass D&A screening
• Professional demeanour and strong interpersonal presentation
• Committed to long-term employment within a collaborative and high-standard workshop
• Great problem-solving instincts and the ability to handle multiple priorities
  
  

Bonus Points For

• Knowledge or experience working on industrial lifting gear or crane technology
• Dogging and Rigging credentials
