Your Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for the management, presentation, safety and accessibility of Burswood Park for visitors, tenants, employees and contractors through:

- effective grounds maintenance contract management

- management of works and maintenance programs

- property leasing negotiation and management

- support of general operations and event activities

- work, health and safety requirements and compliance leadership.

The ability to facilitate the engagement of all stakeholders is critical to ensure there is alignment of required outcomes.


SELECTION CRITERIA: 

Your application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria:


Essential

  1. Substantial experience and knowledge of management and maintenance of parks and gardens and associated facilities programs.
  2. Substantial experience and knowledge of relevant legislation, state and local government requirements impacting land and property management.
  3. Experience in the development, management and maintenance of service contracts and leases.
  4. High level interpersonal verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills, and proven ability to identify and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Practical knowledge of the application of the WHS Act 2020 and WHS Regulations 2022 in an operations environment.

Desirable:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification in natural resource management, facilities or contract management, or position related field.


Special Conditions of this role include flexibility and after hours attendance in case of emergency, shared out of hours duties, “C” class drivers licence, satisfactory National Criminal Record Screening Check, holding a Current First Aid Certificate.
