We’re on the hunt for a People & Culture Manager, not the textbook kind, but someone who genuinely gets people. Someone who leads with empathy, balances the human and commercial, and brings clarity and care to every touchpoint in the employee journey.


While this role is technically a maternity leave replacement, our current People Lead will be returning in a different position, so this is a permanent opportunity to make the role your own.


Reporting to the CEO, this is a strategic, sleeves-rolled-up role that puts you at the heart of how we recruit, onboard, support, and grow our people. You’ll have full permission to ask “Is this in the best interests of the team?” and be listened to.


We’re a Shopify Plus agency doing award winning work with brands like KOOKAÏ, JB Hi-Fi and Assembly Label. We're growing, and we want to do it in a way that protects our culture and keeps our people front and centre.

What YOU'LL BE DOING

Own the Employee Lifecycle

  • Hiring: End-to-end ownership of in house recruitment, from job ads and screening to contracts and offers. Strong recruitment experience are essential
  • Onboarding: Create meaningful 30/60/90 plans with leaders to set every new hire up for success
  • Ongoing Experience: Smooth out friction points, support managers, and ensure every stage of the journey is handled with care
  • Performance & Growth: Help leaders use our performance framework well, think regular 1:1s, development plans, and continuous feedback


Culture & Communication

  • Own internal comms and team wide updates
  • Coordinate our rituals and events that bring the crew together
  • Shape and maintain our EVP - making sure what we offer matches what our team values


Systems & Process

  • Own HiBob, templates, policies, and workflows
  • Oversee leave, role changes, contracts and admin with a lens of clarity and simplicity
  • Work with specialists when needed


Leadership Support & Coaching

  • Coach leaders in kind, clear, accountable conversations
  • Provide practical tools for feedback and change
  • Be the example: emotionally intelligent, fair, and constructive


Culture Support

  • Support clear expectations around how we work together
  • Champion feedback and continuous learning


Employee Advocacy

  • Be a trusted, visible support for everyone, from the team to the leadership group
  • Create safe ways for feedback to flow up, down and sideways
  • Ensure every decision involving people is made with care and context
