Reporting to the Network and Data Centre Lead, the Network & Data Centre Engineer will design, monitor and protect Adelaide Airport Limited’s (AAL’s) Aeronautical Operational Technology (OT) systems to ensure their ongoing confidentiality, integrity and availability. The role is primarily centered around project deployment and tasks involved in the upgrade, remediation and analysis of network and security infrastructure in AAL’s OT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist OT network expertise with a strong understanding of environments and concepts including risk management, incident management and enhancing security posture
  • Investigate incidents and respond to events in real time and provide detailed incident response reports in a timely manner
  • Understand and contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT and security strategy, framework, policies and roadmaps
  • Identify potential problem areas and/or single points of failure that may result in interruptions to critical OT systems
  • Work with key stakeholders, developing strategies to mitigate or remediate vulnerabilities
  • Assist and facilitate security audits and related assurance activities
  • Identify and regularly report risks within AAL’s OT environment and provide recommendations to mitigate
  • Implement and supervise systems that continuously monitor and detect incidents and events within AAL’s OT environment

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ network engineer experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for business and critical infrastructure systems
  • A solid working understanding of enterprise security tools, technical knowledge of security, privacy and risk and knowledge of critical infrastructure cyber security frameworks
  • Experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for business and critical infrastructure systems
  • Proven involvement in relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders
