Join our dynamic team in Australia as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, where you'll drive internal customer satisfaction, lead value-based sourcing initiatives with local suppliers, and champion operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability. You'll optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), develop supplier portfolios with a site-specific focus, and act as a key escalation point for supplier or component issues. As a vital link between plant operations and category management, you'll support supplier performance improvements and ensure alignment with Group Purchasing processes. Provide administrative support to categories related to sourcing and relationship activities in close cooperation with the Category Manager. In addition, role model in below mentioned key activities.

Your main responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to categories related to sourcing and relationship activities in close cooperation with the Category Manager. In addition, role model in below mentioned key activities.
Value based sourcing related activities:
- Responsible for local suppliers
- Responsible for the tendering process (eRFI & RFQs and e-auctions).
- Responsible for the creation and updating of contracts
- Responsible for price (MPI) and contract negotiations.
- Responsible for budgeting MPI and investments in alignment with category targets
- Responsible for driving cost out activities
- Responsible for building the yearly roadmap based on Group Purchasing priorities in alignment with Production Plant priorities.
- Agree on responsibilities and timing of the sub-projects of the yearly roadmap
- Responsible to drive/support supplier related activities/ projects in collaboration with plants/ divisions
- Category team:
- Participate in developing the SRM strategies for key suppliers and relevant collaborative suppliers.
- Be part of a team of cross-functional key stakeholders.
- Develop supplier portfolio with a site focus
- Drive projects or activities aligned with category strategy and category team
- Accountable for Vendor master data (Shared service task)
- Accountable for updating Purchasing conditions (Shared service task)
- Support solving suppliers or components related issues
- Act as Escalation point for plant according to escalation matrix
- Lead Purchasing tasks in temporary outsourcing due to capacity constraints –
- Responsible for Local suppliers:
- Monitor the performance of suppliers (e.g., on-time deliveries, quality).
- Prepare and participate in follow-up with suppliers on performance against target and agreed development activities.
- Follow up on improvement initiatives.
- Classification of suppliers.
- Develop SRM strategies for selected Local suppliers based on risk assessment by the Purchasing Specialist.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
- Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in administration and business support preferable from the purchasing field.
- Preferably have 2-3 years’ experience in similar work.
- Good command of English Language
- Worked experience collaborating with a globally arranged team.
