The Head of Enabling Services leads the Enabling Services branch and is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the branch.


The position is supported by the relevant corporate function heads who report directly to the position, including the Chief Financial Officer.


The position reports directly to the Deputy Commissioner – Integrity, Reform and Enabling Services (who is the Chief Operating Officer) and is an adviser of the Commission’s Executive Board, which is the primary governance forum for strategic leadership of the Commission.


Key responsibilities


  • Collaborate effectively with the Commissioner and the Executive to set and drive organisational vision and operational strategy to build organisational capability.
  • Set the strategic direction for the Enabling Services Group and lead the delivery of efficient and effective corporate functions, including:
  • Provide strategic and operational support and guidance on a range of HR initiatives and activities across the Commission.
  • Drive the development of the Commission’s workforce, corporate and business plans.
  • Ensure effective governance, risk management and compliance for all corporate functions.
  • Ensure timely, efficient compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, including administering the strategic internal audit plan.
  • Lead the integration and advancement of IT, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and protect organisational assets.
  • Oversee resource management, aligned to the Commission’s priorities.
  • Lead the development, implementation and effective communication of corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Leverage and sustain productive working relationships across the Commission and key external stakeholders.
