Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

This role is in our Marketing Communications department, our Marketing Communications team creates and shares key content and materials to inform and engage both existing and new clients, as well as keeping our people informed about what’s happening across our Group.

What will you be doing?

We’re looking for a confident and collaborative communicator to join us as a trusted partner for our Divisional senior leadership team—someone who can steer the marketing communications ship with clarity, strategy and heart. As the vital link between our Division and the Group Marketing Communications team, you'll play a key role in ensuring all activity is aligned, impactful and connected to what matters most: winning work, attracting great people and helping talent thrive.

In this role, you’ll act as the Division’s single point of contact for all things marketing comms. That means shaping and owning a fully-costed Marketing Communications Plan, developing a clear and consistent brand identity for the Division and its businesses, and making sure everything we produce—from campaigns to events—reflects our values and strategic goals. You’ll work with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality, multi-channel communications that speak to both existing and potential clients, as well as employees across every level.

Alongside this, you’ll keep a close eye on how we’re performing, reporting back to senior leaders with insight that drives continuous improvement. You’ll bring a sharp understanding of industry trends and opportunities, and use that awareness to proactively strengthen our messaging and approach.

You’ll be advising, guiding and connecting with a wide range of stakeholders, becoming a valued voice in supporting growth, reputation and engagement across the business. What You’ll Bring

  • Proven track record of delivering timely, practical, innovative and creative marketing communication solutions to complex issues in high profile, often fast-moving situations, both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning, delivering and evaluating the impact of internal and external brand narrative, key messages and content that drive brand awareness and positively manage and develop reputation. Preferably in a multi-brand organisation.
  • Proven track record of delivering internal and external marketing communications through the most appropriate online and traditional channels and tactics for the target audience, messaging and intended outcome.
  • Demonstrable evidence of raising the profile of key areas of performance within a business.
  • Adept at stakeholder management with ample experience working with senior leaders and managers of all levels.
  • Demonstrable evidence of attention to detail, high standards of written communication, adapted to meet the needs of the audience and suitable for the publication channel
  • Proven track record of using data, analytics and insights to advance effective marketing communications to develop brand awareness and reputation management.
