Position Profile: We are seeking enthusiastic and suitably experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Ward 1B - Burns, Orthopaedics & Plastic Surgery.
In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Clinical Nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of a high standard of nursing care on a shift by shift basis to patients and their families using the Scope of Nursing Practice Decision Making Framework. The Registered Nurse acts as a role model and undertakes a teaching role in nursing practice for more junior staff.

- Delivery of competent, high quality nursing care in consultation with Clinical Nurses to allocated patients and their families.
- Accountable for the delivery of safe standards of care within the competencies of a Registered Nurse as defined by Hospital Policy, Nursing Standards, Clinical Protocols and ANMC Professional Practice Framework.
- Contribute to the assessment of patients and the development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care and liaises with multidisciplinary team to resolve patient problems, evaluate care and develop discharge plans.
- Monitor and negotiate own and others workload within the available resources on a shift by shift basis to support effective and efficient delivery of a high standard of nursing care.
