About The Role

Are you ready to take control of your career? We’re currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team on a contract role based in the Central Bowen Basin.

Working on a 9-day fortnight roster (Mon–Fri / Mon–Thu), you’ll coordinate planned maintenance for a fleet of Caterpillar and Komatsu rear dump trucks, supporting site reliability and operational efficiency.

This is a residential role – FIFO is not available – and best suited to someone living within safe driving distance of Middlemount, such as in the Rockhampton or Central Queensland regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule maintenance for heavy mobile equipment (HME), especially dump trucks.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and OEM reps to ensure timely execution.
  • Use SAP to manage maintenance work orders, shutdowns, and performance reporting.
  • Monitor and reduce backlog, improve workflow, and support shutdown planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning practices and system usage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures.

About You

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or Scheduler in mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong SAP skills for maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar and Komatsu rear dump trucks.
  • Trade-qualified or strong mechanical background highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Unrestricted Australian working rights.
  • Reside within safe driving distance to Middlemount (FIFO not available).
