Based out of our office in South Perth, this role represents a great opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator to further develop their career in a fast paced and agile procurement environment. As a key part of RAAFA’s Procurement Team, you’ll be joining a group that is proactive, enthusiastic and willing to step up to the challenge of being a part of an innovative organisation.
As the Procurement Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying sourcing needs to negotiating contracts with suppliers. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, internal and external, ensuring a seamless procurement process and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

As the Procurement Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying sourcing needs to negotiating contracts with suppliers. - Collaborate, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions whilst ensuring the timely delivery of materials, goods, and services.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance, quality, cost, and reliability of vendors to ensure they are meeting the organisation's quality standards and on-time delivery needs.
- Coordinate the purchasing process, ensuring all purchases are cost-effective and meet the organisation's quality standards.
- Develop, manage, and maintain procurement documents, reports, records, and data including but not limited to: Developing RFQ and RFI’s, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Requisitions
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop procurement strategies and plans.
- Assist the Procurement Manager where required with tasks including but not limited to: Budget preparation, monitoring procurement expenditures, developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures, RFQ preparation, analysis, and implementation.
- Create and maintain procurement reports to provide regular updates to the Procurement Manager.
- Undertake other tasks as directed by line manager.
- Solid experience and understanding of procurement, purchasing or logistics.
- Proficiency in using ERP procurement software and tools (preferably COUPA).
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal departments through excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects at one time.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, oversee multiple procurement projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Familiarity with sustainability and social procurement principles.
- Clear and effective communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to solve problems and demonstrate successful negotiation skills.
- Ability to mentor, train and develop employees to consistently meet expected standards and adapt to meet best practice.
