Randstad Senior Finance is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded business located in the inner suburbs of South Yarra. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically proficient and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team for a 6-8 week contract.

About The Opportunity

This role is pivotal in supporting our client's finance function with a primary focus on Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). You will be the go-to expert for all FBT-related matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy in the lead-up to their lodgment deadline. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your specialist skills in a hands-on and impactful role.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Taking full ownership of the end-to-end FBT compliance process, from preparation to lodgment.
  • Conducting a thorough review and analysis of all fringe benefits provided to employees.
  • Accurately calculating the taxable value of benefits and determining the final FBT liability.
  • Preparing and lodging the annual FBT return in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Assisting with the broader financial accounting duties as required, including month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide expert advice on FBT matters.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of FBT reporting.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a CA/CPA qualified Senior Financial Accountant with a demonstrated track record in a similar role. You will also possess:

  • Proven, in-depth experience in managing and lodging FBT returns is essential.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and a thorough understanding of Australian tax legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage your time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in a range of accounting software and a high level of competency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Immediate availability to commence a 6-8 week contract in South Yarra.
