The Opportunity:

Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Injury Prevention Coordinator to manage all aspects of return to work and injury management across our two WA operational sites and Perth office. This role also involves overseeing the administration of all pre-employment medical screenings and contributing to the ongoing development, standardisation, and monitoring of WHS processes in collaboration with our global HSE team.

As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:

  • Develop and implement early intervention strategies to reduce injury-related absences.
  • Coordinate and liaise with leaders to ensure timely and appropriate injury management procedures are in place.
  • Act as the key liaison between the company, injured employees, insurers, and healthcare providers, including attending medical and allied health appointments where needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized Return to Work (RTW) Plans tailored to employees’ medical conditions and role requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, including injury reports and RTW documentation.
  • Stay up to date with current workers’ compensation legislation to ensure company compliance.
  • Review and assess all pre-employment medical results prior to site access.
  • Support the global HSE team in enhancing and standardizing WHS processes, documents, and reporting across WA operations.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in injury management or return to work coordination
  • Strong background in case management and workers’ compensation
  • Industry experience in mining, construction, or civil environments (desirable)
  • Familiarity with integrated management systems such as ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 (desirable)
  • Experience using safety and injury management systems is advantageous

Qualifications and/or Skills:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in health science or an allied health field (highly desirable)
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certificate (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
  • Current and valid Driver’s Licence
  • Comprehensive understanding of workers’ compensation legislation and return-to-work principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in team environments
  • Strong document writing and case note skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites as required
  • Clinical background or experience in a medical profession is highly desirable
