We are seeking a Talent Acquisition & People Consultant to join our Human Resources team. This is a hybrid generalist and specialist role, ideal for a people-focused professional who thrives on variety, autonomy, and meaningful work. You will lead end to end recruitment across Australia, while also coordinating local Learning and Development, acting as the local point of contact for Global Mobility, managing onboarding and getting involved in other HR projects as needed.
You will shape CGI’s talent experience across a wide range of roles including Information Technology, Corporate, and Defence while partnering with our Workforce Planning Manager to ensure recruitment is timely and aligned to business needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Lead end to end recruitment across Australia, covering Information Technology, technical, corporate, and space and defence roles, from briefing through to onboarding.
- Partner with the Workforce Planning Manager to align hiring activity with business priorities and forecasts.
- Manage onboarding and preboarding, including background checks, candidate communications, and quarterly orientation sessions.
- Ensure accurate and audit ready data across recruitment systems, including interviews, offers, placements, and referrals.
- Provide regular reporting and contribute to the Australian demand plan for talent.
- Represent CGI’s employer brand through careers pages, job boards, and social media, ensuring inclusive and engaging content.
- Coordinate Learning and Development locally, including system administration (Progressio), communications, and the monthly L&D newsletter.
- Act as the primary contact for Global Mobility, supporting visa processes, reporting, and compliance in collaboration with CGI’s global teams and immigration advisors.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Proven experience managing end to end recruitment, ideally within internal talent acquisition teams and across technology and IT roles.
- A commitment to providing a high quality, inclusive, and ethical candidate experience, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple vacancies, and build trusted relationships with hiring managers.
- Strong interest in developing your skills and knowledge across Learning and Development, including coordination, training communications, reporting, and learning systems administration.
- Familiarity with visa sponsorship and immigration processes within the Australian context, including compliance requirements and stakeholder liaison.
- Proven adaptability, responsiveness and resilience in managing competing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment with shifting business needs.
- Comfortable working across time zones, including flexibility to attend occasional evening calls with CGI’s Human Resources Centre of Excellence in the United Kingdom.
