With three versatile meeting spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a vibrant bar, and a restaurant, we’re set to become the go-to destination for both business and leisure travelers in Adelaide.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to oversee operations across Ember & Vine Restaurant, Aviator Bar, and our Banquet spaces.

You will lead the day-to-day Food & Beverage operations while inspiring, developing, and upskilling our team. With a strong focus on guest satisfaction, you’ll ensure smooth service delivery and elevate the dining experience through attention to detail and a passion for hospitality. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of excellence and creating memorable, personalised moments for every guest.

Your day to day

  • Foster a positive work environment by leading with confidence and genuine care, cultivating a culture of excellence, accountability, and service pride
  • Champion your team’s growth by understanding individual aspirations, bringing IHG’s 'Room to Grow' to life through meaningful development opportunities and tailored career pathways
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of a diverse, high-quality food and beverage offering, showcasing signature dishes, expertly brewed coffee, local South Australian wines, curated cocktails, and premium beverages
  • Uphold exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards across all service areas, reflecting our brand's commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Lead by example to proactively anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns in a timely manner, and create exceptional dining experiences that drive guest loyalty
  • Oversee and continuously improve inventory systems and stock management processes to support efficiency, cost control, and operational continuity
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding process to build a high-performing and engaged Food & Beverage team
  • Drive Food & Beverage meetings and events, collaborating cross-departmentally to enhance guest satisfaction and streamline operations
  • Contribute to the financial success of the department through strategic oversight of budgeting, cost management, revenue optimisation and event initiative

What We Need From You

  • 4+ years’ related experience in managing a food & beverage team, including multiple venue management experience
  • Degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management or culinary arts is desirable
  • Skilled in developing effective processes and delivering training that empowers colleagues to implement them with confidence and consistency
  • A passion for delivering results and developing people and self
  • Flexible with nights, weekend and public holiday shifts
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation
  • Responsible Person badge or willingness to obtain
  • Have a service focused attitude, with a talent for delivering impeccable table service, ensuring consistency and high service
  • You’ll know how to prepare a wide range of drinks and be able to train others
  • You’ll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling
  • You communicate with clarity and warmth, creating an approachable presence that fosters open, engaging, and meaningful conversations
  • Display a commitment to our guests and colleagues by consistently maintaining a high level of quality at all times
