Project Lead Dementia Centre of Excellence - Home First Ambulatory and Complex Care
The Royal Melbourne Hospital – Royal Park Campus
The Project lead will be responsible for developing a strategic plan to Establish a Dementia Centre of Excellence at the RMH.
The role involves creating a project plan and charter, identifying and engaging with key stakeholders. The project manager will develop a detailed plan that outlines the project tasks and milestones, budgets, and a risk management plan.
The Project lead will have exceptional inter-personal and management skills and be required to liaise with a number of stakeholders within the RMH and externally. The Project lead will also have well-developed administrative and organisational skills, together with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
This role will report to the Clinical Leads for the centre and a newly established governance committee.

The Project lead will be responsible for developing a strategic plan to Establish a Dementia Centre of Excellence at the RMH.

- Lead strategic planning and project delivery to establish the RMH Dementia Centre of Excellence, including service reviews, gap analysis, and implementation roadmap.
- Conduct a best practice review of dementia care nationally and internationally, and benchmark RMH services to inform future service design.
- Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop detailed project documentation, including charters, milestones, budgets, risk management plans, and a five-year funding proposal incorporating philanthropic support.
- Proven project and change management experience in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including report writing, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborative team player with a commitment to professional development and The Melbourne Way values.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and preparation of documentation and reports.
