We are seeking an IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an organisation’s IT department, ensuring smooth functioning of networks, systems, and infrastructure.
This is a smaller subsidiary part of a larger group, so you will need to remain hands on and provide general day to day IT support for 50 users. You will also play a key role working closely with the Managing Director with project management, budgeting and operational responsibilities just to name a few.
This role would suit an experienced engineer looking to step up or an existing IT Manager with similar experience in a smaller organisation.

Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
- Managing IT Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of an organisation’s IT department, ensuring smooth functioning of networks, systems, and infrastructure.
- Vendor management: Close collaboration and management of technology vendors including contract negotiations
- Technology Selection: Evaluating and selecting appropriate hardware, software, and technology solutions to meet the company’s needs.
- Security and Compliance: Ensuring the security of data and systems, implementing security protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Project Management: Overseeing IT projects, from planning to execution, and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- User Support: Providing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing and maintaining plans for data backup, recovery, and continuity in case of IT system failures.
- Reporting and Documentation: Keeping records, generating reports, and communicating IT performance and status to upper management.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, networks, virtualization and Microsoft administration
- Certification(s) in ITIL, CISSP and/or PMP is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection principles.
