Job Description
Are you passionate about transforming marketing through cutting-edge technology? Viva Energy Australia is looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist to lead the design and delivery of impactful, data-driven marketing solutions. This is a key role in our digital transformation journey, where your expertise will directly shape the future of our customer engagement strategies.
You will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, and development within our Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud platforms. From defining scope and crafting detailed solution designs to executing campaigns and optimizing performance, you’ll bring both technical know-how and strategic insight.
We’re seeking a well-rounded professional with a strong business mindset, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Serve as a key member of the Digital team, accountable for design, development and maintenance of solutions on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Designing and implementing scalable solutions for multiple business units (supporting B2B & B2C)
- Designing and developing Marketing Automation solutions in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud Platforms
- Execute Marketing campaigns using various tools in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform, Data Cloud and Salesforce CRM
- Maintaining, enhancing, and supporting existing Marketing Automation solutions
- Provide technical consulting to Consumer, Shellcard & Commercial marketing business units to plan and build out the marketing automation pipeline
- Bring in technical thought leadership for the wider Salesforce & T&D teams.
- Define the platform roadmap, with a cross-functional team
- Implementation planning and cutover execution
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the platform, including issue resolution, debugging and production support
- Peer review other Marketing cloud developers’ work
Qualifications
- 4 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, delivering robust and scalable marketing solutions.
- Technical proficiency with AMPScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & SQL
- Excellent Knowledge of API principles, uses and applications – REST & SOAP
- Deep expertise in Data Cloud implementation, including data ingestion, segmentation, and audience management.
- Comprehensive knowledge across the Marketing Cloud ecosystem, including Content Builder, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, Analytics Builder, and Cloud Pages.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, with a focus on user experience, accessibility, privacy, and data security.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proven ability to execute end-to-end personalized campaigns across email and SMS, including automation and journey orchestration.
