Who are we looking for?

We’re seeking passionate and experienced Disability Support professionals to step into a newly created Practice Leader role within our Supported Community Living Team. As a Practice Leader, you’ll provide hands-on coaching, supervision, and guidance to Support Workers, helping to embed person-centred, high-quality support in the day-to-day lives of our customers.

The Practice Leader role has been designed to strengthen our frontline leadership and ensure best practice across our SCL services. You’ll be based in customer homes, supporting both customers and staff through active, hands-on engagement.

This is a pivotal role in our refreshed service structure and will play an important part in delivering safe, consistent, and meaningful supports that will engage customers often and well and improve their quality of life.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Providing day-to-day practice leadership and supervision to Support Workers in SCL homes.
  • Working directly with customers and staff to implement Person-Centred Planning, Active Support, and Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Coaching and mentoring staff through role modelling, direct supervision, and feedback.
  • Supporting effective communication between shifts and liaising with families and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring quality reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Actively rotating across a cluster of homes, with the possibility of completing one active shift per fortnight to stay connected with frontline work.

What do you need to bring?

  • Qualification in Disability, Mental Health or Allied Health, or significant and relevant experience in the disability sector, or lived experience.
  • A strong understanding of person-centred, strengths-based practice in disability support.
  • Confidence in supervising and guiding teams, with a supportive and coaching-focused approach.
  • Practical experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support.
  • Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with families, guardians, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and ensure safe, high-quality service delivery.
  • Sound knowledge of NDIS requirements, quality standards, and restrictive practice protocols.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive team culture and continuous improvement.
