The Staff Engineer has demonstrated technical expertise, leadership, and influence skills expected for this level and will apply these in working as an individual contributor on more complex or parallel projects as part of project teams or on individual assignments. The Staff Engineer will lead projects or sub systems of large complex projects and utilizes best practices for engineering, project management, and systems engineering to define and deliver solutions. This level requires application of systems engineering methodologies such as requirements definition, system architecture and integration, analyses, configuration management, and risk management. The Staff Engineer will apply communication skills and knowledge of business goals, programs, or processes within a Product Line to ensure successful project outcomes. The Staff Engineer will provide leadership to others in their technical community and work through influence to achieve desired business outcomes.
Interdisciplinary Engineering incorporates unique expertise, typically in emerging areas, utilizing knowledge and skills from multiple traditional engineering or non-traditional science, social or business disciplines.
Manages delivery of large integrated projects. Coordinates multidisciplinary teams, combining or adapting products to create unique infrastructure level solutions for customer requests. Considers regulatory, safety, environmental issues. Works with engineering teams and customers to manage supply chain and program logistics requirements
