About The Role

We are looking for two experienced Senior Software Engineers to join a multi-disciplinary digital delivery team. This role focuses on front-end development and Drupal integration, playing a key role in migrating a major government website to GovCMS SaaS. The ideal candidates will bring strong expertise in web technologies and thrive in agile, collaborative settings.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Design and implement responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript
  • Develop and enhance Drupal 10/11 themes aligned with user experience and accessibility standards
  • Configure advanced Drupal workflows and version control setups
  • Support and execute structured content migration strategies
  • Apply knowledge of REST APIs, PHP, and MySQL in building scalable, dynamic web components
  • Leverage modern frameworks (Angular, React) and Git-based version control in day-to-day tasks
  • Collaborate closely with team members using agile practices and collaboration tools
  • Ensure compliance with the DTA Digital Experience Policy and web accessibility requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Proven technical proficiency in:
    • Front-end development using HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript/jQuery
    • JavaScript frameworks (Angular and React)
    • Responsive design and browser developer tools
    • Version control systems such as Git
    • Web accessibility standards
  • Strong experience with:
    • Drupal 10/11, including theme development and workflow configuration
    • GovCMS SaaS platform
    • REST APIs, PHP, and MySQL
  • Demonstrated personal attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including:
    • Explaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Previous experience in large-scale content migration and web platform modernisation projects
