Your new role in Service Leadership is empowering people and performance.
As a Service Manager, you’ll lead a close-knit team of Service Engineers working with FOSS analytical instruments across the region. Your team supports industries such as Dairy, Laboratory, Wine, Feed, Meat, and more. You’ll manage day-to-day team operations, ensure high-quality service delivery, and foster a strong, motivated, and high-performance culture.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a technical service team across Australia and New Zealand
- Working with the Service Coordinator to manage team schedules and workloads
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Supporting engineers with coaching, training, and field troubleshooting
- Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement and contributing to strategic goals
- Conducting regular team reviews and development planning
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards

What we’re looking for - A people leader with technical credibility.
You’re an experienced people leader or senior technician ready to step into a leadership role. You’re passionate about team success and understand how to balance customer expectations, team wellbeing, and operational performance.
We’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading or mentoring a service or technical team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with analytical, laboratory, or industrial equipment
- Knowledge of service KPIs and workforce planning
- Proficiency in SalesForce CRM system and other business tools
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or similar
- Willingness to travel within Australia/NZ and internationally as needed
- A valid driver's licence and work rights in Australia or New Zealand (location dependent)
