Provide case management and brokerage supports to vulnerable young persons aged between 12- 25 years of age

The Salvation Army (Salvos) Youth Services encompasses a range of programs for vulnerable young people, their families, and the community. About The Role

At Oasis, part of The Salvation Army’s life-changing network of youth services, we believe in walking alongside young people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We're looking for a compassionate, resilient and experienced Case Manager to support youth aged 12–24 who are affected by drug and alcohol use.

You will provide early intervention, crisis response and long-term support—all grounded in trauma-informed care. Using a person-centred, strengths-based approach, you'll develop real connections with young people, helping them reduce harm, build resilience, and take back control of their lives.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Surry Hills. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level 4.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating SMART case plans
  • Offering tailored, therapeutic case management to young people and their families
  • Advocating fiercely for clients and building bridges to essential support services
  • Keeping accurate, respectful records while maintaining confidentiality
  • Collaborating with a network of caring professionals to ensure holistic support
  • Promoting self-efficacy and harm reduction through education and empowerment
  • Creating culturally safe and inclusive spaces for all young people

What Will You Bring

  • Minimum Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work or similar discipline, preferably bachelor’s degree or Higher (other relevant qualifications within Community Services, Social Work or similar discipline will be considered with extensive experience).
  • Minimum 3 years post graduate experience working with young people using drugs and alcohol.
  • Formal qualifications and/or post graduate qualifications in AOD (desirable)
  • Formal qualifications and/or post graduate qualifications in trauma informed practices (desirable)
