Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to meet or exceed the targets for the daily operations of the Warehouse Team.
The Warehouse Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day activities and optimise warehouse operations, ensuring effective inventory management, efficient processing of warehouse functions and a safe working environment. Lead the Warehouse team to improve efficiencies through improvements to workflow processes, maintain quality standards, develop the team and support business goals through effective logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively and efficiently supervise the warehouse and logistics activities.
- Provide the required support to the Warehouse team to enable the highest levels of safety, quality and performance as a collective.
- Receive and receipt incoming stock.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Pick and packing.
- Dispatch freight.
- Monitoring transport services.
- Ensure inventory is stored correctly.
- Manage AOG or after-hours requests to ensure requirements are met.
- Ensure Processes and Procedures are being adhered to, maintained and are kept current.
- Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure local and corporate objectives are met.
- Closely liaise and interact with other departments to facilitate an efficient workflow.
- Meet internal and external customer demands.
- Build flexibility within the team to meet demand fluctuations.
- Performance management.
- All staff qualifications are maintained and kept current.
- Promote and demonstrate Safran leadership values and models.
- Drive team to top performance.
- Ensure Safran HE Australia’s continuous improvement tools are utilized.
- Be the point of contact and subject matter expert, inclusive of audit requirements.
We are looking for:
- Cert IV in Warehousing Operations or extensive previous Logistics/Warehousing experience
- Forklift License
- Previous aviation experience would be well regarded
- Previous supervisor experience would be well regarded
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a hands-on warehousing organisation
- Experience with ERP systems
- Customer service experience
- Experience to be able to oversee the training of personnel
- Ability to quickly learn and understand our product range
- A continuous improvement mindset and a focus on enhancing business processes and procedures
