City: Hobart, Tasmania
Contract type: Full time
Job Description

About the role

You’ll be joining a collaborative Experience & Loyalty team where you’ll take the lead in designing thoughtful, intuitive, and inclusive member experiences across both digital and physical channels. This role combines the strategic with the hands-on: conducting research, running workshops, mapping journeys, and prototyping new ideas – all with the aim of delivering meaningful, connected experiences to a large and loyal member base.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead human-centered design activities across a variety of service and product experiences
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify member needs and pain points
  • Create customer journeys, empathy maps, service blueprints and other artifacts to support service improvement
  • Facilitate workshops to generate insights and co-design solutions with cross-functional teams
  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and contribute to digital design standards
  • Advocate for accessible, inclusive, and consistent design across all channels
  • Work on future-focused initiatives and help shape new services that align with community needs

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in UX, service design or CX roles
  • Hands-on capability with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD
  • Experience running usability testing and applying insights to iterate on design
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Curiosity, empathy, and the ability to connect dots across complex systems
  • Tertiary qualifications in UX, service design, or a related field

Why you’ll want to join

This is a rare chance to work at the intersection of digital design and community impact – shaping services used by thousands of Tasmanians every day. You’ll have room to bring your creativity, influence strategic decisions, and see the real-world effect of your work. You do need to have full working rights for Australia but they would consider relocation packages from elsewhere in Australia or NZ if you're open to a move to Hobart.
