About the role:

The GBS (Group Business Services) Lead is responsible for driving the transition of finance activities into a new Group Business model, focusing on simplification, standardisation, and automation to enhance service delivery.

This role leads a team to drive change across people, process, and technology to ensure the successful delivery of finance work packages and create long-term value for the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of finance transformation initiatives , working with technology partners, business units, and project teams to ensure timely execution of work packages.
  • Manage resources and squads , balancing internal and external teams, overseeing day-to-day tasks, and ensuring quality outcomes across process redesign and optimisation efforts.
  • Coordinate dependencies and change management , ensuring smooth implementation and stakeholder engagement throughout the transformation journey.
  • Drive process improvement , challenging current workflows to design simpler, standardised, and more efficient ways of working across finance functions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system integration (e.g., SAP) aligns with enterprise standards and supports long-term operational goals.
  • Lead and support testing activities , ensuring user involvement, accurate scripts, and efficient execution of system and process enhancements.
  • Report on progress and maintain stakeholder engagement , ensuring compliance with policies and fostering collaboration across finance, GBS, technology, and implementation partner


Skills & Requirements

You will bring over 10 years of finance or audit experience, with strong technical and stakeholder management capabilities to drive financial process transformation in a complex organisation.

  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA and financial process design.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale finance transformation in enterprise environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and improve financial processes and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and engage across all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Skilled in identifying and mitigating operational risks and ensuring effective financial controls.
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Agile methodology, business process improvement, and change management.
  • Travel requirement to various major office location.
