About the role
A major federal government client is recruiting multiple Release Managers at both the APS5 (Junior) and APS6 (Mid-Level) levels to support a large-scale digital transformation program.
You will help deliver innovative and secure ICT solutions by coordinating and managing release activities across critical enterprise platforms.
This role is based in Richmond or Geelong, with up to three days per week working from home.

Responsibilities
  • Support or lead release management processes across multiple platforms including Salesforce, MuleSoft, SAP, EDW, and others.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, aligning with technical dependencies and business priorities.
  • Coordinate release readiness activities including Go/No-Go reviews, milestone checks, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain release documentation such as deployment plans, run books, and release reporting.
  • Work with delivery teams and vendors to manage implementation, testing, and code merge impacts.
  • Engage in ICT Change Management processes including cyber assessments and penetration testing.

Essential criteria
  • Australian Citizenship (mandatory)
  • APS5: 1–2 years of release management or ICT delivery experience
  • APS6: 3+ years in enterprise-level release management
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing release interdependencies and governance adherence
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications (e.g., Diploma of Project Management, SAFe Agile)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in Federal or State Government environments
  • Understanding of solution delivery and its relationship to release and change management
  • Exposure to accessibility standards or secure design principles
  • Experience conducting ICT risk assessments and mitigation planning
