Our Internal Audit Team supports the fulfilment of the Fund's third line of accountability via the provision of independent objective assurance and consulting activity designed to help improve operations to accomplish AustralianSuper's objectives, offer forward-looking insights, and enhance and protect organisation value. Your New Role
As an Internal Audit Manager, you will be reporting to the Chief Audit Executive and play a vital role in the expanding AustralianSuper Global internal audit team, delivering core elements of the annual Global Internal Audit Plan.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Working with the Chief Audit Executive to establish a 'world class' Global Internal Audit function.
- Supporting the Chief Audit Executive to report to the Chief Executive and the Chair - Finance and Audit Committee (FAC).
- Executing a range of internal audit services targeted to operations and risks along with working with the external co-source provider.
- Management requested services where business areas may request internal audit services, usually in response to an issue or an emerging risk.
- Acting as Lead and central point of contact on behalf of internal team for work with external co-source provider.
- Performing internal audit work contained in the approved global internal audit plan and working with the Chief Audit Executive to produce a written report for each audit containing Findings and management actions.
- Working with relevant risk partners throughout the business to monitor progress by management to implement internal audit findings and action plans.
- Utilising agreed methods and tools to produce quality, accurate and timely output that can be relied upon for cross functional assurance reference and reporting.
- Contributing to the development of technical standards and other supporting documentation to enable consistent design and implementation of the assurance processes across the Fund.
What you'll need
- Professional membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors - Australia.
- Knowledge of the International Professional Practices Framework and Global Internal Auditing Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional report writing, planning and analytical skills.
- Diplomacy, high levels of initiative, self-control, self-confidence and flexibility.
- Curiosity to develop business acumen and fast strategic knowledge acquisition.
- Sound knowledge of legislation and codes applicable to financial services.
