Talent Acquisition Specialist

Tassal

Date: 21 hours ago
City: Hobart, Tasmania
Contract type: Full time
Remote

We are a growing Tasmanian based seafood leader with a national footprint. Our Talent Acquisition team spans our operations in Prawns (Queensland & NSW), Salmon (Tasmania) and Barramundi (WA). Our team is passionate about connecting great people with great opportunities.

As Tassal's Talent Acquisition Specialist, you'll transform how we attract top talent while shaping the future of our organisation. Operating as an in-house recruitment expert, you'll proactively source and build national talent pools while developing targeted campaigns for senior roles - without agency sales pressures. This role goes beyond filling positions; you'll partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and implement best practice. We're looking for a recruitment professional who combines market expertise with business acumen - someone who understands that exceptional hiring creates competitive advantage.

Your work here won't be measured in placements closed, but in careers launched and teams transformed - this is talent acquisition with lasting purpose.

What your role will look like?

Team Fit: your fit with our team is strong and a sense of humour is non-negotiable. Our team is like a caffeinated octopus on a trampoline - chaotic, relentless, and weirdly brilliant at juggling a million things at once. P.S. we are all slightly unhinged in the background.

Talent Sourcing: you don't just post and pray - you're a strategic hunter. Leveraging sourcing platforms and your agency or corporate recruitment expertise, you systematically identify passive candidates, build robust talent pipelines for critical roles, and execute targeted searches that dig deeper than surface-level keywords. You intuitively know which channels - and which people - will lead you to the perfect match every time.

Administration: exceptional recruitment is built on exceptional administration - and you take pride in getting every detail right. From crafting standout job ads to maintaining meticulous ATS records and preparing flawless contracts, your precision keeps our talent pipeline flowing.

Business Process: process isn’t just procedure to you - it’s your roadmap to outstanding results. You don’t just follow our recruitment workflow; you master and adapt it to each stakeholder’s needs, ensuring every stage - from requisition to offer - balances efficiency with an exceptional journey for your hiring managers and candidates.

Track Record: your career demonstrates consistent success in full-cycle recruitment across both agency and corporate environments. But you're not just filling vacancies—you're creating lasting matches by combining market intelligence with well-developed negotiation techniques.

End to end Recruitment: you own the recruitment process from initial briefing to signed offer - leaving no detail unattended. Your thoughtful and patient approach ensures exceptional candidate experience while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged at every step.

HR Systems: bonus points for you if hands-on experience with both Dayforce and Taleo is in your toolkit!

What's in it for you?

  • Flexible Working Location - Sydney Olympic Park or Hobart based (2/3 days WFH possible)

  • Employee Assistance Program - to ensure you and your family’s mental health stays on track

  • Career Development - access to LinkedIn Learning with 1000’s of courses to choose from

  • Look Hot in the Cold - 25% off Helly Hansen clothing discounts

  • Love your Seafood - heavily discounted seafood

  • It's your Day - enjoy a day off for your Birthday!
