Description

As Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll function for our 300+ employees, paid fortnightly under the SCHADS Award. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on continuous improvement, team leadership, and delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders.

Whether you're an experienced Senior Payroll Officer ready to step into leadership, or a seasoned Payroll Manager looking to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact!

Reporting to the Executive Manager of P&C, this newly created role will be responsible for:

  • Oversee accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with the SCHADS Award and relevant legislation
  • Lead and mentor a small payroll team, fostering growth and development
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
  • Provide responsive, customer-first support to employees and managers across the organisation
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to support organisational goals
  • Deliver accurate payroll reporting and insights
  • Other ad hoc tasks

Profile

  • Proven experience in payroll, either in a senior role looking to take the step up or an experienced payroll leader looking to join a purpose driven organisation
  • Ability to lead and up skill others
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding internal customer service
