Looking for a dynamic professional to join our boutique law firm in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Predominantly practicing in family law and must have a minimum of 3 years post-admission experience. Broad range of responsibilities with increasing autonomy and strategic input to continue to grow the firm. Work within a multicultural and diverse community providing lots of opportunity for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on family law matters including divorce, parenting arrangements, property settlements, and family violence.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Draft and review legal documents including affidavits, consent orders, and binding financial agreements.
• Manage a caseload independently, while collaborating with the principal on complex matters.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and case law developments in family law.
• Mentor junior staff and paralegals.
• Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act and related legislation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage emotionally sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.
• Experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
