Sessional Pain Medicine Specialist
Permanent part-time position 10 hours per fortnight


About the role

The Sessional Pain Medicine Specialist will undertake clinical pain medicine services to patients of Grampians Health.


Key Responsibilities

You will:

Provide specialist pain medicine services
  • .
  • Manage the full range of pain medicine clinical services including consultative and interventional procedures
  • .
  • Participate in clinical research projects
  • .
  • Contribute to the Grampians Health becoming an accredited site for pain medicine training
  • .
  • Undertake the supervision of Anaesthetic registrars, Pain Medicine registrars, HMOs & Nursing staff
  • .
  • Participating in the ongoing review of their Clinical Practic

Skills and experience

You will have:

Fellowship of ANZCA or equivalent and being registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia

  • A medical degree registered with AHPRA
  • .
  • Experience in pain medicine service provision in a regional environment
  • .
  • Experience in clinical pain medicine in the acute hospital setting and outpatient services including telehealth
  • .
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all level
