Description
As the Principal - Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, you will work closely with the Director, Corporate Communication, to lead and enhance QTC’s communication and stakeholder engagement at a divisional level. Your expertise will be crucial in applying senior subject matter knowledge within a relevant specialist area.

As the Principal - Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, you will work closely with the Director, Corporate Communication, to lead and enhance QTC’s communication and stakeholder engagement at a divisional level. Your expertise will be crucial in applying senior subject matter knowledge within a relevant specialist area.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Leadership: Support the Director in delivering the Corporate Communication & Stakeholder Engagement strategy and work plan.
- Project Management: Lead divisional and enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Advisory Role: Provide high-level, quality advice to the Board and Executive Leadership Team.
- Capability Development: Develop and implement a divisional Corporate Communication & Stakeholder capability offering.
- Content Management: Oversee the content and design of a divisional website project.
- Client Engagement: Create and utilize collateral to inform clients about divisional services.
- Team Leadership: Influence and adjust team objectives in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Foster creative collaboration on key initiatives across the function.
- Representation: Represent QTC on internal and external committees and forums.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and leverage strategic stakeholder partnerships to achieve business outcomes.
- Strategic Communication Planning and Negotiation Skills
- High-level written and verbal communication
- Project Management and Collaboration
- Time management, prioritisation, and adaptability
- Leadership with accountability, integrity, and the ability to build impactful relationships
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or significant equivalent experience
- Essential: Minimum 8 years in government, corporate, or marketing communications, with experience in leading complex projects and managing corporate reputation and media responses.
- Desirable: Senior experience in government or consultancy sector marketing communications.
