This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent, Fixed Term and Casual appointments at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Position Profile: Bunbury Hospital has a Cleaner team who complete a high standard of cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas to meet the infection control, hygiene, audit and aesthetic standards. Cleaning duties are completed on hospital wards, in the Theatre department, Emergency Department, Mental Health unit, public areas and at community-based clinics. Shift hours are typically either an early morning start or working into the evening.
To be suitable for this role you will ideally have a good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment. Suitable applicants will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
As a Cleaner you will carry out cleaning duties both internal and external to the hospital following safe working procedures. Internal cleaning includes the maintenance of hard floor surfaces and carpets, cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, furniture and fittings, public areas and toilets, dusting, cobwebbing, windows, re-stocking consumables and rubbish removal. Duties may involve use of floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, vacuums and other industrial cleaning machinery. External duties include rubbish removal and cleaning of covered paved areas.
