About Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS)

RMH MHS has an exciting opportunity for developing clinician to deliver excellent interventions and provide community based mental health service. We are seeking dynamic, team oriented clinicians. RMH MHS has a strong team culture and values the development of its workforce. Based in Moonee Ponds, this role is an opportunity to develop skills and experience and contribute to the growth of mental health services in the community.

Your New Role

  • Drive excellence in delivery of acute assessment and intervention in an integrated community mental health team
  • Support new and developing clinicians to improve their clinical skills
  • A combination of direct clinical work and providing professional development
  • Provide excellent interventions across different stages of community mental health journey, including acute assessment, ongoing support.
  • Demonstrate leadership to drive high standards of interventions and maintain a positive culture in the team
  • Actively engage in discipline specific and multidisciplinary team activities and meetings
  • Apply sound treatment skills for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, and have willingness and capacity to commit to development of EB knowledge and practice

About You

  • You must have a qualification as a Clinical Psychologist, OT, Social Worker or RPN4
  • Extensive experience in the provision of specialist services in public mental health settings and highly developed clinical expertise
  • Experience in supporting consumers during an acute/crisis stage
  • You are committed to developing your practice as a professional in clinical mental health
  • You are motivated to provide leadership within the team, and drive high clinical standards
  • You are able to contribute and function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and enjoy working autonomously
  • You are confident in the provision of support and treatment for people experiencing drug and alcohol related issues and their families.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in computer software use and information technology on the Microsoft Windows platform and ability to learn new programs and navigate databases
  • Willing to work in a range of settings and some out of hours shifts
  • Hold a current Victorian Driver’s Licence, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport
