Job Description


As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you'll take the lead in building and optimising campaigns that engage, inform, and convert. You’ll manage automated workflows, segment audiences, and collaborate with creatives and data experts to ensure your campaigns hit the mark. You’ll track performance metrics, ensure compliance with privacy regulations, and support integrations with CRM and web platforms. Your work will directly contribute to attracting the right talent to Defence, while elevating the overall digital experience.


You will:


  • Build, deploy and optimise email marketing campaigns using automation platforms and email marketing platforms aligned to the Sourcing and Attraction/Marketing strategy.
  • Design and maintain lead nurturing workflows to move prospects through the funnel effectively.
  • Develop and manage audience segmentation strategies for personalised communication.
  • Collaborate with Brand and Digital teams, and agency partners to create assets and build templates that align with automation journeys.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics and campaign performance.
  • Maintain data integrity and compliance with email marketing best practices, and Privacy and Spam Act regulations
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including our Client, as well as internal teams ranging from Data & Analytics, ICT, Sourcing & Attraction/Marketing to meet business objectives.


Candidate's Profile

Your background will demonstrate:


  • Proficiency in CRM/marketing automation platforms, Microsoft Dynamics preferred. Alternatively other platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and lead funnel strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting data to guide campaign improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in CRM, marketing automation or digital marketing.
  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing/Customer Journeys or similar platforms (e.g., HubSpot Marketing Software Certification, Marketo Certified Expert, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist) is a plus.
