City Venue Management (CVM) is a purpose-driven organisation creating delightful & engaging experiences through aquatic, health, and recreation venues. As we continue our journey of growth, we’re looking for a strategic and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team.
This role places you at the centre of transformation, guiding the financial strategy that powers our people, venues, and future. As CFO you will play a pivotal role in driving long-term financial strategy, enabling data-led decision-making, and ensuring the organisation remains financially agile, sustainable, and ready for the future.
About the RoleAs CFO, you’ll work closely with the CEO, Board and C-Suite team to provide strategic financial leadership. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, risk, capital planning and financial performance, while mentoring a high-performing finance team and partnering with leaders across the business to ensure CVM’s financial strength supports our operational and strategic goals.
You will also lead the continued digitisation and innovation of our financial operations, leveraging data, systems, and forecasting tools to guide planning and decision-making at every level of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute financial strategies to support growth and profitability.
- Deliver accurate, insightful financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Provide strategic financial advice and modelling to inform key decisions and investments.
- Oversee capital planning, working capital optimisation, and return on investment strategies.
- Embed enterprise-wide risk management frameworks and ensure audit-readiness.
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, and regulatory reporting across all entities.
- Lead and inspire the finance, analytics, and reporting teams, building capability and culture.
- Drive innovation in financial systems, automation, data visualisation, and real-time reporting.
- Collaborate across all departments to ensure operational decisions align with financial strategy.
- Present key financial reports, insights, and recommendations to the Board and external stakeholders.
About You
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a multi-site or service-based organisation.
- A strong track record in financial planning, forecasting, capital planning, and investment strategy.
- Deep understanding of financial regulation, audit, risk management and corporate governance.
- Advanced data literacy and comfort with financial systems and digital tools.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial insight into actionable business direction.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
