About The Job

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented solicitor to join our growing WorkCover team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a file load of Queensland workers' compensation matters, providing expert legal advice, and representing clients through various stages of their claims process. Your role will include:

• Providing legal advice and support to clients in relation to WorkCover matters
• Drafting Notice of Claim for Damages, other legal correspondence and documents.
• Obtaining claim evidence and statements to support client matters
• Attending and representing clients at conferences, mediations, and court hearings
• Managing and progressing files, ensuring all legal and procedural requirements are met
• Negotiating settlements and assisting with dispute resolution
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Staying up to date with changes in legislation and legal cases affecting WorkCover claims
  
  

You will feel confident in your ability to hit the ground running and assist in getting the best outcome possible for your clients. You'll have a demonstrated passion for plaintiff personal injury combined with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Additionally, you will have dedicated paralegal support, as well mentoring under the guidance of a Practice Group Leader, providing you with invaluable support as you grow your legal career.

This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing a mix of time in our Brisbane or Gold Coast office, and the ability to work remotely.
