Job description
Moresby Ave Childcare and Early Learning Centre (MACC) is a 39 place, not- for profit organisation governed by a parent committee of management. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early childhood educator to work alongside our skilled educators in a supportive team environment. This position is for full-time employment in a dynamic, diverse, and friendly environment with many additional benefits such as, above Award salary rates and weekly planning time, RDO's and ongoing professional development.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Lead Educator to provide educational leadership, mentorship and support to our children, educators and families. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate passion for working with children.
To be successful in this role, applicants must display the following:
- Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Take a holistic approach to the education, development and care of children in our care with a focus on the physical, emotional and psychological well being of the child to inspire children's curiosity to create and explore their environment
- Be passionate, self-motivated and enthusiastic about Early Childhood Education.
- Be able to contribute positively to the team culture and work collaboratively
- Ability to build positive and respectful relationships with children and their families
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize an environment that is; safety first for children and fellow team members, aesthetically uplifting and culturally welcoming and positive
- Respect diversity and be inclusive while considering a child, family member or team member's cultural and community needs
- Has a vibrant energy
Mandatory Requirements/Qualifications
- Must hold approved Diploma level qualification
- Previous experience as a Lead educator (minimum 2 years)
- Current Employee Working with Children Check
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, CPR training certificates
- Accredited Child Protection Training
