About Your Role

UGL is seeking a HSE Advisor to join its Manufacturing and Maintenance – Transport business. This role involves supporting site operational teams across two locations (Bassendean & Bayswater). The focus is on implementing effective HSE processes while fostering safety, rail safety, injury management, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Advise and coach managers, supervisors, and workers to achieve compliance and best practices in: WHS (Workplace Health & Safety), Workers’ Compensation & Injury Management, Rail Safety and Environmental Matters
  • Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits for HSE assurance and due diligence.
  • Lead or review incident investigations (using ICAM methodology or similar).


About You

You are an experienced HSE professional with relevant qualifications and a proactive approach to safety and compliance.

Skills And Experience

  • Experience managing relationships with regulatory stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships across various levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with high-risk industries like construction, infrastructure, or other related sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.


Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Workplace Safety and Health (Diploma or above preferred).
  • Incident investigation training (ICAM methodology preferred).
  • Lead Auditor qualifications in AS4801 or equivalent (for audits and compliance assurance).
