DSV Solutions is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Team Lead, Logistics in Melbourne.
The Team Lead manages freight flow to and from the warehouse as well as invoicing, issuing credit returns, liaising with customers, transport providers (internal and external), stock control and supplier management. A Team Lead will supervise the day to day activities of our Contract Logistics team. Ensuring that workloads are allocated whilst providing authoritative advice and guidance to operators. This will be in the afternoon shift with working hours between 12 pm to 8 pm.
Your typical day at DSV:
Act as the key contact between DSV and its clients, managing service levels, operational updates, and resolution of mid-term issues.
Lead daily warehouse operations, setting KPIs, assigning tasks, and ensuring all team members are properly inducted and trained within scheduled timeframes.
Ensure orders are processed and dispatched on time with total order accuracy, while maintaining compliance with SOPs, Work Instructions, and GxP standards.
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics activities including pick-packing, pallet and inventory counting, labelling, data entry, invoicing, and transport coordination.
Liaise with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to provide updates, reports, and ensure customer service excellence; escalate and resolve service issues promptly.
Implement and maintain quality and compliance systems including training matrices, CAPA management via VAULT, and warehouse audits; support continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor supplier performance, analyse operational risks, and participate in audits while ensuring business continuity plans are in place.
About you:
- Customer-focused and performance-driven, with a strong commitment to delivering reliable, cost-effective logistics solutions and exceeding KPIs.
A collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset; fosters cross-functional efficiency and, where applicable, leads and supports others to achieve shared goals.
- At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role or substantial administrative experience including an accounts function.
- Understanding of P&L, Customer accounts, OH&S Policies and legislative requirements in regard to warehouse operations and people management.
- Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
