About The Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Shared Services team.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the CEO and Partners to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Finance function across BDO (NTH QLD) and related entities.
You will be a trusted adviser and active contributor, driving financial clarity, ensuring compliance, efficiency and operational excellence.

About The Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Shared Services team.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the CEO and Partners to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Finance function across BDO (NTH QLD) and related entities.
You will be a trusted adviser and active contributor, driving financial clarity, ensuring compliance, efficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Delivering timely, accurate financial reporting and meeting key lodgement deadlines
- Managing banking platforms, reconciliations, and acting as the primary contact
- Payroll
- Overseeing accounts receivables
- Monitoring cash flow
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts and financial reports including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Responsible for the General Ledger including month end processing and reconciliations
- Preparing IAS, BAS, and other statutory requirements
- Update, compile and distribute monthly leadership meeting financial reports
- Assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting
- Administering finance-related systems (MYOB AE & ARL, ELMO HRIS, Cerebiz, Budgetlink)
- Backup support for accounts payable
- Provide a high level of accounting and administrative support to the CEO and Partners as required.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Is degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar
- A member of CAANZ or CPA Australia (preferred but not essential)
- Has experience in a similar role within a corporate or professional services environment
- Is confident using Microsoft office (including Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Has advanced knowledge of MYOB ARL and AE, and is comfortable with new technology
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organisation and professionalism
- Brings analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Has a strong client service mindset
- Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and brings a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
