Your Opportunity
Following a recent review of our Information Technology strategy and operating model, our focus is on building the structure, skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story. We are now seeking applications for the newly created position of Manager IT Portfolio & Projects.
This is a stand-alone role with no direct reports however you are responsible for the management of our IT project portfolio, budget, and supplier agreements. Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, you will lead the development and implementation of project governance frameworks, support financial oversight, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic IT initiatives.

Your Opportunity

This is a stand-alone role with no direct reports however you are responsible for the management of our IT project portfolio, budget, and supplier agreements. Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, you will lead the development and implementation of project governance frameworks, support financial oversight, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic IT initiatives.
Key Accountabilities Include
- IT Project Management: Drive the development and enhancement of IT project management frameworks and tools. Lead strategic project delivery from planning to closure, ensuring alignment with governance and maintaining a centralised view of initiatives. Manage project intake, prioritisation, and reporting, while tracking performance and benefits.
- IT Budgeting & Cost Management: Partner with key stakeholders on budgeting and cost tracking. Monitor expenditure, analyse variances, and maintain detailed financial records. Provide transparency to stakeholders and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Contract and Supplier Administration: Manage a comprehensive register of IT contracts, service agreements, and licenses. Monitor key dates, renewals, and compliance obligations, and liaise with stakeholders to support negotiations and performance reviews. Act as a central point for vendor onboarding, evaluations, and relationship management.

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related discipline;
- Expertise in project portfolio management, IT governance, or PMO support roles within complex environments;
- Proven experience in IT financial management, budgeting, and cost tracking;
- Excellent commercial experience managing contracts, vendor agreements, and procurement processes;
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow) and Excel;
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively;
- Relevant certifications in project management methodologies, PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, PMO-CP (desirable);
- Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or similar (desirable); and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
