Security Operations
- Manage the cybersecurity operations function for The Salvation Army Australia.
- Lead the response for all cybersecurity incidents and update the General Manager Cyber, Risk & Compliance on the status for all major incidents.
- Provide technical and operational leadership to the IT department and the broader TSA as required.
- Monitor and manage incident response collaboration effectiveness with other support teams across TSA.
- Design and educate others on security baselines for systems and applications.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the cybersecurity team, other support teams and all other departments across TSA when required.
- Provide responsive support for problems found during normal working hours as well as outside normal working hours.
- Develop, collate and provide regular cybersecurity metrics that show the level of effectiveness of controls.
- Develop the cybersecurity awareness strategy.
- Conduct and monitor awareness programs according to the strategy.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of awareness and training programs and implement improvements.
- Provide expert guidance on the area of cybersecurity to ensure other support areas are implementing controls in a secure manner.
- Provide knowledge and awareness sessions to TSA personnel on how to recognise and respond to suspicious cyber activities.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on cybersecurity vulnerabilities, emerging risks, and industry developments.
- Maintain knowledge on cybersecurity technologies in use at TSA as the technologies are upgraded and enhanced.
- Provide leadership to the cyber operations team to ensure an efficient and effective operations service
- Step in and perform the GM Cyber, Risk & Compliance role when the GM is absent
- Provide technical expertise to the leadership team in design solutions to ensure incorporation of security best practice requirements
- Participate in meetings/forums representing operational security requirements
- Develop strong relationships with key personnel of service providers
- Manage relationships with other leaders across TSA to ensure cyber operational services are fit for purpose
