Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety, operational performance and achievement of budgets/ key performance objectives and profitability of assigned Regional Operations as well as providing assistance in other areas within the branches and overseas as required from time to time.
  • Responsible for Australia and New Zealand operations.
  • Responsible for the supervision, professional and ethical performance and conduct of both permanent and supplementary employees within your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Responsible to ensure that reasonable work times are maintained by all employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and for ensuring that all company and legislative occupational health safety, welfare and environment requirements are met.
  • Responsible to act on complaints from clients or our own personnel as necessary and to pass on any serious matters to senior management.
  • Responsible for ensuring the branches operate as a professional team.
  • Responsible to promote and market Company products and services.
  • Responsible to allocate appropriate time and resources for training to ensure ongoing skills development via external/internal courses arranged and to regularly work in a “hands on” capacity with site personnel to ensure they are adequately trained and are competently servicing our clients requirements.
  • Quote jobs where practical and provide assistance to operations and sales staff in preparation of tenders and contracts.
  • Responsible to ensure our operations comply with the Quality System for the supply of services and products to our clients.
  • Responsible to comply with Company Policies and Procedures, as varied from time to time.
  • Required to assist with on-site technical service work and project planning and implementation.
  • Required to perform other duties at the request of the General Manager from time to time.
  • Engineering Diploma or equivalent relevant skills
  • Qualifications or relevant experience in leadership and management
  • Previous supervision/management of a small to medium sized field service or workshop organisation preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
  • Outstanding organizational and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and work demands
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to share responsibility with other employees for providing 24 hour on call service to our clients and to act as primary telephone contact after hours.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Travel within the region and overseas as required.
