Hospitality Training Network (HTN) is seeking an eager and dedicated Apprentice Chef to join the team at Ormeggio!

Ormeggio - "A trip through italy' is the guiding concept for all of the menu development at Ormeggio. Ormeggio's menu is a seafood focused a la carte menu, complimented with two regular changing sharing menus. Be ready for some very unique and delicious specialities such as an incredible Pavoni's risotto, 'cotoletta' Ormeggio-style, crudo crostini and their 'coppa gelato', Italy's answer to the icecream sundae, but executed centre-stage at the bar with some of the most declicious home made gelato.
What’s Involved
As an Apprentice Chef, you will learn alongside qualified Chefs in all aspects of food preparation and presentation. Working with us allows you to learn and build experiences from skilled professionals within a commercial kitchen environment. You will be working at one of our great host venues, working with large quantities of food and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Key activities you can expect will be:
The successful apprentice must be comfortable with Public Speaking as our Chefs hit the floor and introduce dishes to the customers and finish the dish tableside.

- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of dishes.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, choppers, fryers, steamers under supervision.
- Learn different knife and cooking techniques.
- Clean, maintain and store kitchen equipment appropriately.
The successful apprentice must be comfortable with Public Speaking as our Chefs hit the floor and introduce dishes to the customers and finish the dish tableside.

- Australian Citizenship
- Australian Permanent Residency
- New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months.
