Position Profile: The Senior Technical Officer – Biomedical Electronics, as a member of a team is responsible to provide an efficient, effective, and timely service in relation to the implementation, repair, maintenance, quality assurance and installation of medical equipment and systems.

The successful applicant joins a team in the Technical Services Division of Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) supporting sites across the East Metropolitan and South Metropolitan Health Services.

The position will be based at Rockingham General Hospital, however may be required to work across sites within the South Metropolitan and East Metropolitan Health Services, to meet operational requirements.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
