We’re Hiring: Communications Coordinator
Sydney-based | Flexible work arrangements | Part-time (8 hours a week) contract
Join a purpose-driven team supporting women and children escaping violence
At Women & Children First, we’re dedicated to helping women and families escape and recover from domestic and family violence and homelessness. We do this through emergency housing, trauma-informed care, therapeutic support, community education, and advocacy.
This is a part-time role (1 day/week) that offers creative autonomy and a strong sense of purpose. You’ll be working in a small but fast-paced team, where no two days look the same. One day you might be thanking a corporate sponsor or posting behind-the-scenes stories. The next, you could be crafting a powerful educational carousel on coercive control or amplifying an urgent fundraising call to action.
We’re looking for someone who’s deeply fluent in social media, knows how to write with heart and strategy, and can quickly understand how to turn our programs, impact, and community insights into compelling content that educates, activates, and builds loyalty.
This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who
This is a chance to apply your creative energy and strategic mindset to a cause that matters.
Purpose of the Role
To create strategic, audience-led content that supports W&CF’s goals across education, engagement, advocacy, fundraising, and program promotion. This includes working across social platforms, newsletters, and our website to ensure our digital presence reflects the heart and impact of our work and that it drives action.
You’ll use our content pillars and brand voice to build trust, spark connection, and guide audiences through the journey from awareness → engagement → loyalty.
