Specialist Family Violence Case Managers | Dandenong

4-Month Contracts | SCHADS Level 5.1 ($63.76/hr + Super) | ASAP Start

About the Role

Tradewind is recruiting two Specialist Family Violence Case Managers to support a well-established team in Dandenong. These positions have been created to manage a recent surge in demand and will run for an initial 4-month period.

You'll be the first point of contact for walk-in clients, providing crisis intervention, intake and assessment, and delivering short-term support based on immediate safety and wellbeing needs. Outreach may also form part of your role and is conducted in pairs for safety and support.

This is a full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). While full-time hours are preferred, we're open to candidates available 4 days per week (0.8 FTE).

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to walk-ins with immediate crisis intervention and risk assessment

  • Conduct intake and short-term case planning

  • Provide brief interventions, safety planning, and referrals

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate support

  • Participate in outreach when required (always in pairs)

About You

We're looking for candidates who bring:

  • Experience in family violence crisis intervention, or short-term case management

  • A trauma-informed, client-focused approach

  • Confidence working in fast-paced, high-volume environments

  • Familiarity with SHIP (the client data system used by Wayss) is highly desirable

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Community Services or a related field. Must meet REQ 209
